Collins Hill Baseball plays according to modified Dixie Youth Baseball rules and regulations. For additional information you are encouraged to visit the Dixie Youth Baseball website and read the Baseball Handbook.
We offer both a Spring and a Fall Baseball program. Sign-ups for the Spring season usually begin around the second week of January and generally runs for two weekends, depending on the turnout. Practice will normally start in February and the opening day of the Spring season is in March. The Spring season runs through the end of May. The Fall sign-ups begin during the last week of July and the first Fall game usually takes place right after Labor Day. The Fall season runs through October.
We also offer a Travel Baseball program for ages 9 and up. These teams are picked from tryouts usually held in November for the following year. These travel teams represent Collins Hill at various venues in the Southeast.

The League Age Chart is based on your child’s age as of 4/30/10:
- Pre T (Ages 3 & 4) – 5/1/05 to 4/30/07
- T-Ball (Ages 5 & 6) – 5/1/03 to 4/30/05
- PeeWee (Ages 7 & 8) - 5/1/01 to 4/30/03
- Minor (Ages 9 & 10) – 5/1/99 to 4/30/01
- Major (Ages 11 & 12) – 5/1/97 to 4/30/99
- Pony (Ages 13 & 14) – 5/1/95 to 4/30/97
- Senior (Ages 15 & 18) – 5/1/90 to 4/30/95
Equipment needed:
Collins Hill provides as part of registration a jersey, pants, belt, socks and hat. You must provide a helmet, glove, bat and cleats.
Evaluations:
Evaluations will be held on Saturday, February 6th at Collins Hill Park. Your time will be given to you when you register. If you are unable to attend evaluations your child will still be placed on a team. Times and field locations vary depending on your age group.

Spring 2010 Baseball Registration
Baseball registration opens online Saturday, January 9th and will close Saturday, January 30th at midnight. A late fee of $20 will be applied to all registrations after January 30th. Registrations after the 30th are subject to availability and are not guaranteed an open spot.
A walk up registration will be held at the Collins Hill Library Saturday, January 30th from 2 pm to 4 pm. Those needing to pay by cash or check need to attend the walk up registration. Online registration will only accept Credit Card payments.

The 10U Eagles started their season off right by winning the fifth annual Battle of the Bats tournament in Monroe, Georgia this weekend. The Eagles brought their bats scoring over 70 runs in a 5 game sweep of the competition that included GGBL teams from Mill Creek and two South Gwinnett teams. The team played solid defense and the pitching was outstanding giving up only four runs the entire weekend with seven different pitchers contributing at least one inning. Team Members are Zach Boyd, Jason Adicks, Michael Albee, Branan McGee, Chandler Black, Jo-Jo Findlay, Ben Mottet, Oscar Serratos, Tomas Nadal, Jeffery Hill and Alaska Abney. Coaches Landon Boyd, Dirk Abney and Kent Adicks.
11U Green Eagles Get their Third Tournament win at The Norcross Fall Invitational
The Collins Hill 11U Eagles Green team completed their fall season by winning the 8 team Norcross Fall Invitational tournament on November 1, 2009 at Pinckneyville Park. After a loss on Friday night in a rainy game against the Hebron Angels, the Eagles were seeded 4th in the rain shortened tournament. They battled back on Sunday, winning against the Parkview Panthers and the North Gwinnett Bulldogs Black before facing the Hebron Angels again in the Championship game.
Offensively the Eagles had 33 hits in the tournament, with 3 home runs and 6 doubles. Cameron Edwards had a 3 run home run against Parkview and added two more RBIs with another home run in the Championship game against Hebron. Christopher Taddei also hit a 2 run home run in the game against Parkview. Defensively, the Eagles pitchers were strong, giving up only 4 earned runs in the tournament.
The Eagles won 3 of their 4 fall tournaments and ended their season with a record of 19-9-1. They finished strong by winning 12 of their last 13 games.
The players on the team are Austin Jett, Bradley Kallgren, Cade Heil, Cameron Edwards, Christopher Pierce, Christopher Taddei, James Civelli, Jon Wyatt, Mark Flores, Nicholas Topoleski and Tristan Alvarado. They are managed by Ted Kallgren and coached by Tony Flores, Tom Topoleski and Jason Heil.
11U Green Eagles win the South Gwinnett Boo Ball Tournament
October 25, 2009 — The Collins Hill 11U Eagles Green team completed a nine game winning streak and defended their previous year’s title when they won the South Gwinnett Boo Ball tournament on October 25, 2009 at E. R. Snell Park. They out-scored their opponents 34-5 and held them to just 3 earned runs in 4 games.
The Eagles had an especially impressive defensive game against the Grayson Rams Blue with two runners thrown out at 3B, a 6-4-3 double play, two runners thrown out by the catcher trying to steal 2B, a pick-off at 1B by the pitcher, and several great catches. The Eagles also had a great weekend at the plate with an on-base average of .552. A highlight was Tristan Alvarado’s home runs in back to back plate appearances with a three run blast against Grayson and a solo home run against South Gwinnett Stampede.

On August 23,2009 the Collins Hill 11U Eagles Green team won the 2009 Cumming Summer Sizzler to open their fall season. The team went 4 – 1 and outscored their opponents 49 -14. After going 1 – 1 in pool play and winning their first bracket game, the Eagles beat the #1 seed Jr. Grizzlies in the semi-finals.
In the finals, the Eagles faced the Cartersville Rookies. After giving up a 4 run lead after 3 innings, the Eagles fought back and were down by one run going into the final inning. After a lead off walk and some smart base running, a key hit scored two runs to give the Eagles the lead. In the bottom of the inning, the Eagles shut down the Rookies’ offense with a strikeout, a grounder to second for an out at 1st base and a long fly ball to right for the final out.

10u Eagles stay on a roll with Boo Ball sweep!!
The 10u Eagles came into the weekend winning 9 out of their last 10 games and stayed hot by sweeping four games for the Boo Ball 10u championship. The Eagles faced Parkview on an opening pool play game and had to come back to win 11-10 after being down 7-1. The Eagles did not panic and rode their ever dependable pitching back into the game when in the bottom of the last inning they scored two runs off of great base running. Their second pool play game was a whitewash 21-1 over a select team that earned them the first seed and a first round bye. (more…)

The Collins Hill 11U Eagles will hold try-outs to fill positions on two Spring Travel Baseball Teams on Sunday, September 27th (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm) and Sunday, October 4th (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm) on Field #1 at Collins Hill Park. You should do your best to attend both try-out dates.

The 13U Collins Hill Eagles Green team brought home the Championship Sunday, August 23, 2009 in the USSSA Iron Horse Classic in Monroe/Social Circle – their first tournament of the fall season. Twelve teams participated in the 2 day tournament sponsored by JB Athletics. The Green Eagles went 2-0 in pool play outscoring their opponents 18-4 in two games while finishing their last pool play game near midnight on Saturday. (more…)
Collins Hill Eagles Black Soar to New Heights with a Second Place Finish at the USSSA 11U World Series.
Collins Hill Eagles Black coached by Chad Adcox(manager), Thornton Hopkins
and Neil Hudson continued their tournament success (three previous
sub-state tourney victories) with a second place finish in the USSSA 11 U
World Series held in Pace Florida.
The Eagles took on teams from Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Texas,
Mississippi and Alabama which comprised a 32 team field of elite 11 U

14U will be having tryouts for the Fall Travel team on Sunday July 19th from 2Pm to 4Pm. Field 2 at Collins Hill Park . This is the ONLY Fall Travel team that Collins Hill will have for 14U.
Coaches are Head Coach Jimmy Lastinger, Assistant Coach Steve Burden and Pitching Coach Steve Neadow. There is still room for additional coaching staff on our team if you are interested in coaching please contact Head Coach Jimmy Lastinger at jimmy_lastinger@comcast.net
We will play other GGBL teams and in local tourments.

The 9u Eagles closed out their 2009 season by winning the USSSA 9-under AA State Championship played at Legions Field in Conyers. The Eagles won in dominating fashion by going undefeated through the tournament. With hot bats and aggressive base running the team scored and average of 10.8 runs a game and with great pitching and solid defense the Eagles gave up an average of only 3.6 runs per game.
The team was a perfect 11-0 in AA division play this season with an impressive 16-4 overall record in USSSA tournament play. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a great season! Team members are Jason Adicks, Chandler Black, Zach Boyd, Tommy Coyne, Matt Edwards, Cade Heil, Jeffery Hill, Matthew Lee, Ben Mottet, Tomas Nadal, Oscar Serratos and Coaches Jason Heil, Kent Adicks, Simon Edwards and Andy Coyne.
