The following is an important safety announcement passed along to us, this afternoon. As always, PLEASE be aware of your surroundings and encourage your children to do the same. If something doesn’t look right, speak up about it. We must always be vigilant to keep our kids safe.

To all concerned citizens,
Over this past week we have had multiple incidents involving female juveniles. It appears that the female juveniles are being targeted by a black male (with well manicured dreads)/ white male team and a black male perhaps working alone. The two clusters of suspicious activities are in the Lawrenceville and Grayson areas (Whitehawk S/D, Steeple Run, Chadwick Lake Dr/Sever Rd, Still Rd/New Hope Rd and Pine Village Pl). In the Lawrenceville areas the activities that have been reported are that one of the males usually hides in the back seat and the driver attempts to lure the child by asking for help to look for his lost dog. The males seem to be targeting young white female elementary children that are left unattended. In the Lawrenceville/Grayson areas, the activities that have been reported shows no second person observed and the dog story lure has not been reported. In these areas the male seems to be targeting high school age girls. In both areas the activities are occurring during the weekdays. They have been seen during the morning/afternoon hours, just prior to and after school on days that the weather has been nice. A variety of vehicles have been reported loitering in the area, but our Crime Analyst Unit believes we are looking for a dark brown/purple Mazda 626 (unknown tag at this time).
As we continue the investigation, more details and clarifications are sure to come.
Many emails are being passed along by neighbors and we encourage good communication. We ask that you only pass along what you know to be factual information. Non factual information only hurts our chances to catch them and can spread unnecessary fear through the areas. Spreading improper information can have people on the lookout for the wrong suspects and vehicles. Many of the department’s resources are being directed toward this issue. It is something that the department is taking very seriously and is working diligently to bring to a close. A detective has been assigned to the case and we have put the word out to all shifts/watches and the community response team.
To help assist our efforts to protect the children and catch these suspects we are asking people in these areas to do a few things:
Bus stop monitors for the morning and afternoon For people that take walks in the subdivision please carry a small memo pad to write down pertinent information that you observe concerning this case and cell phone to call 911.
Playground monitors or any other areas that children group together to play.
Please feel free to pass this email along to your neighbors and surrounding neighborhoods.
Sincerely,
POSr Walt Pollock #885 C.P.P.
