Collins Hill Football / Cheer Registration Information

The GFL has announced the 2010 registration dates. 

Online registation will begin on March 27th and will also be the first of three walk up registation days before the season begins.  May 15th and June 26th will be the additional walk up dates. Location of walk up registration will be at the Collins Hill Library located at 455 Camp Perrin Rd from 10am until 2pm.

Flyers were sent out to the elementary schools Friday Feb 26th.  A copy of the flyer is also available on the links page under football.

Collins Hill Football Football Coaching Applications

Collins Hill Football program is currently accepting applications for head coaching positions for all age groups.  We will continue to take applications through Feb 12th.  Applications only need to be filled out if you are applying for a head coaching position.

Football Fundraiser Tonight at Sonic

GFL Physical

In order for your child to begin practicing within the park, a GFL physical form must be completed. 

If you do not have a set pediatrician who can perform the physicals or cannot get an appointment in time, we have been in contact with the following doctors office who will perform the physical evaluation at a cost of $20. It is preferred that you schedule an appointment, but they will take walk-ins.  Please have your form completed as much as possible before the appointment.

2010 Collins Hill Football Program Information

PLEASE READ COMPLETELY AS SEVERAL ITEMS HAVE CHANGED FROM PREVIOUS YEARS.

Registration for the 2010 season will be $185. 

Online Registration begins on March 27th through June 26th. Online payment can be made using Mastercard or Visa.

There will be three walk up registration dates: March 27th, May 15th, and June 26th.  Registration will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm on each of these days and will be held at Collins Hill Library.  This will be the only way to pay for registration with cash or check. 

In compliance with many of the other programs in the area, we will implement a $50 Spirit Fee per child.  These funds will be collected by the team moms and will be used to fund activities, team parties, etc. throughout the season.  No additional funds should be asked of you the parent. 

The League Age Chart is based on your child’s grade/age as of 3/1/10:

    • 6 Year Old – 9/2/03 to 9/1/04
    • 7 Year Old – 9/2/02 to 9/1/03
    • 8 Year Old – 9/2/01 to 9/1/02
    • 9 Year Old – 9/2/00 to 9/1/01
    • 10 Year Old – 9/2/99 to 9/1/00
    • 11 Year Old – 9/2/98 to 9/1/99
    • 12 Year Old – 9/2/97 to 9/1/98
    • 8th Grade –  5/1/95 to 9/1/97
    • 8th Grade Football players can be 13 years old as of and including September 1st through age 15 as of May 1st the upcoming school year. You can only play 8th Grade a maximum of two years.

    Equipment Needed:

  • Collins Hill provides as part of registration a game jersey, socks, mouth piece, and use of game pants. Previous years, the program provided an alternate white/gray practice jersey.  As this was only a requirement if CH played Buford, a white game jersey will only be temporarily provided to the team(s) that play Buford.  You will need to provide a forest green helmet, shoulder pads, seven piece pad set for youth or padded girdle for adult sizes, practice clothing and cleats. Helmets must have a 4-pt chin strap. Meaning it must snap to the helmet in 4 places. 

    Additional costs:

  • Forest Green Football Helmet – $70 to $150
  • Shoulder Pads – $25 to $100
  • Practice Pants – $10 to $25
  • Pants Pads – $10 to $20 (Hip, tailbone, Thigh & Knee Pads are snap in for youth sizes and a girdle for adult sizes.)
  • Football Cleats – $25 to $75
  • Extra Practice Jersey – $10 to $15
  • Mouth Piece- $1 to $10
  • Cup & Girdle Optional
  • Swap Meet:

    Collins Hill will once again host a swap meet during evaluations where we will be selling practice pants, jerseys, pads, helmets, etc.  If you would like donate any equipment, you can bring it by during evaluations.  If you have any equipment you would like to sell, please feel free to bring that as well.

    Fundraisers:

    We will continue to ask that teams look for park and team sponsors.  Those funds are used to make improvements throughout the park and provide miscellaneous equipment that is not covered elsewhere. The Brick the Rock program is still going.    Additional items and programs will be announced as they are finalized.

    Brick the Rock Paver Program – Update

    Bricks are going fast.  Almost half of them have been sold.  Get them while you can. 

    Many of you have received a brochure or heard about the brick paver program sponsored by CH Football.  The site is up and running where we will be able to take credit card payments for the pavers.
