Collins Hill Park Open / Close Procedures 

OPEN around 5:00pm 

1.   Upper Fields 6 & 7

a.    Open equipment room door

b.    Open upper restroom doors

c.    Do not open the room with the pitching machines

d.    Turn on both scoreboards (located beside the batting cages)

2.   Other Fields

a.    Open equipment room door

b.    Open both restroom doors

c.    Turn on scoreboards located inside concession stand interior door
Note: Do not turn on the Football Field scoreboard

CLOSE at night 

1.   Upper Fields 6 & 7

a.    Check both fields for:

                                            1.     Bases left out.

                                            2.     Base lining machines left out.

                                            3.     Scoreboard brains and boxes left out.

                                            4.     Any tools or equipment left out.

                                            5.     Look for excessive trash in each dugout and around each dugout.

b.    Make a note of any equipment left out or excessive dugout area trash.

c.    Make sure double gates to fields are chained and locked.

d.    Lock equipment room door.

e.    Be sure restrooms are empty and lock only upper doors (leave main open).

f.     Be sure both the concession stand and pitching machine rooms are locked.

g.    Turn off the scoreboards and lights.

h.   Call the Sport Director to report dugout trash or equipment left out.


2.   Other Fields

1. First, be sure no one is on Field 1 or Field 2.
   
   Note:  If they are not playing, please tell them they have 5 more minutes.

2. Check all fields for:

1.             Bases left out.

2.             Base lining machines left out.

3.             Scoreboard brains and boxes left out.

4.             Any tools or equipment left out.

5.             Look for excessive trash in each dugout and around each dugout.

6.             Field 2 Bases, Scoreboard Brains, and gray box are stored in the two storage boxes located at Field 2.

3. Make sure Field 2 Storage Boxes are locked.
4. Make sure double gates to fields are chained and locked.
5. Make a note of any equipment left out or excessive trash.
6. Lock equipment room door.
7. Be sure restrooms are empty and lock upper doors (leave main open).
8. Turn off the scoreboards and lights.
9. Lock concession stand doors.
10. Be sure storage trailers are locked.
11. Call the Sports Director to report dugout trash or equipment left out.
